BAKKE MUNICIPALITY HOUSE - FROM GOD TO WATER HORROR
Bakke Design- and Innovationshus, formerly Bakke Bydelshus, has a large copper-roofed tower and a building body that means it can easily be mistaken for a church. There was actually a church there for a period when Bakke church was moved a few meters in the late 1930s. The building was originally built as a parish house for the Bakklandet congregation in 1914.
The building was built in 1914 on a plot of land given by Bakke gård , and served as a parish hall for the Bakklandet Congregation from 1927 until 1982 when it was sold to 200 neighbors and converted into a district house.
